Small Truths, Big Impact
I think that a large percentage of our stress comes from our inability to forgive! Unforgiveness can pollute every aspect of your life by turning into bitterness and resentment. This then alters our mood and outlook on life, and we might not know where some of our anger and stress comes from, which may be linked to unforgiveness in our lives.
There is a reason that God wants us to forgive, the fact that it is “poison”! Poison that we drink little by little, and every drink kills us, it kills our relationships, kills our compassion, kills our joy, but most of all kills our spiritual life. We wonder why we just aren't moving toward full happiness and joy and PEACE in our lives, because we are partaking of the fruit of evil. I understand that there may be wounds that need to heal and it's hard to forgive. Especially if there is something or someone who you are not able to get closure from. But forgiveness is not for them, it's for you! If you let a wound fester and let it remain untreated, you are the one who gets sick and hurts. Just like a physical wound, the longer you let it go untreated the more it hurts and can infect your whole being. For some reason, there is no one in the world harder to forgive than yourself. The Bible says this: “By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything” 1 John 3:19-20 (ESV) “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (ESV) There are two types of guilt in this world: Conviction and Condemnation. Condemnation is what the "evil one" uses to try and keep us down. This is his best and most effective tool. He uses this to keep us depressed, sad, and away from the blessings that God has in store for us. This is the best way to keep us from becoming the person who God has made you to be, and the best person you could be! Conviction is what God uses to try and bring you back to your senses when you may be heading down the wrong path. It is used by God to set you straight, and to draw you Closer to Him (God) and to push you to the person who he made you to be! Conviction can help you learn from mistakes whereas Condemnation is only meant to hold you down and tie you to your SIN, and throw it in your face. This is why The Bible said to confess your sin to the Lord and repent (turn away). Especially that sin that is in the past, if you have confessed it, be free. But you must learn to forgive yourself, and rest in this, Once you Confess your sin, it is gone forever and God doesn't hold it over your head! You may be holding yourself hostage with the Devils tool of self Condemnation! I will pray that you know the power of God's Word and Forgiveness towards you! AMEN!...... Comments are closed.
