Hope - We believe that God is the only source of Hope, and hope in anything else is dead.
"Blessed be the God and father if our Lord Jesus Christ! According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." (1 Peter 1:3 ESV)
"and hope does not put to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." (Romans 5:5 ESV)
Holy Scripture - We believe the Bible is God-inspired and the only source of truth.
"All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
The Eternal Godhead - We believe God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all." (2 Corinthians 13:14 ESV)
Fall of Man - We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection.
"Death in Adam, Life in Christ Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned" (Romans 5:12 ESV)
God's Plan of Salvation - We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, signing the pardon of all who believe in Him.
"For God So Loved the World “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16 ESV)
"but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8 ESV)
Salvation Through Grace - We believe that we have no righteousness and must come to God pleading the righteousness of Christ.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God," (Ephesians 2:8 ESV)
Repentance & Acceptance - We believe that upon sincere repentance and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ, we are justified before God.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 ESV)
New Birth at Conversion - We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)
"I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20 ESV)
Daily Christian Life - We believe that it is the will of God that we be sanctified daily, growing constantly in the faith through His word.
"Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God," (Hebrews 6:1 ESV)
Baptism - We believe that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," (Matthew 28:19 ESV)
The Lord's Supper - We also believe in the commemoration of the Lord's Supper by the symbolical use of the bread and juice of the vine.
"and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”" (1 Corinthians 11:24-25 ESV)
The Spirit-Filled Life - We believe that it is the will of God that we walk in the Spirit daily.
"And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:30-32 ESV)
Gifts & Fruit of the Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian, and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life.
"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit. Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills." (1 Corinthians 12:1-11 ESV)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness," (Galatians 5:22 ESV)
Divine Healing - We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to the prayer of faith.
"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. and the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to the another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of the Righteous person has great power as it is working." (James 5:14-16 ESV)
The Second Coming of Christ - We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent.
"For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and s we will always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV)
Church Relationship - We believe it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with the visible church of Christ.
"So the churches were strengthened in the faith, and they increased in numbers daily." (Acts 16:5 ESV)
"not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:25 ESV)
Final Judgment - We believe that all shall someday stand before the judgment seat of God, and there receive eternal life or death.
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil." (2 Corinthians 5:10 ESV)
Heaven - We believe that heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers.
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." (John 14:1-3 ESV)
“Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:15-17 ESV)
Hell - We believe that hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as the Savior.
"and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.....And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:10,15 ESV)
Evangelism - We believe that soul winning is the most important responsibility of the Church.
"let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." (James 5:20 ESV)
