Drops of Hope
Small Truths, Big Impact
The problem with suffering is not with God and Him allowing it to happen. The problem lives in us and our perspective of how we view God. God has ordained suffering to teach us valuable lessons throughout our lives! God does not love you less or favor the next person more than you because you are going through a hard time. We have to change our perspective to line up with God, not God having to line up with ours!! 1 Peter 1:6-7 says this; In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Sometimes, God brings the trials to your door to show you where you are at in your spiritual life. But more that that, to show you how strong your relationship with God is! When hard times hit, which way are you running? Are you running to God or away from Him? Do you feel like you need Him more, or are you blinded by your anger toward Him and pull away from Him? Do you fall to your knees and ask for more of Him and less of you, or do you stand with your chest puffed out and shake your fist at Him full of wrath? I know it's hard to go through some of these things. I have been praying hard and trying to understand this problem! For the past few weeks I have been studying this and praying about this. Asking God for the grace to understand, not the issue, but the truth of why we go through these various forms of hardships. Why we go through the addiction, why the struggle with morals, why the loss of a loved one? But, here is the thing, God never promised a cushy, trouble free life. He never said that you will have great wealth, drive the best car, have the house, and every dream you dream will come true. He called us to be humble, well rounded, moral, giving, tested, examples of who Jesus was and is! The test is the suffering, the gift is the wisdom, knowledge, experience, toughness, perseverance, and perspective that you gain throughout it all. And, the realization that it is God's work through it. If you look hard enough you will see God's hand in everything, EVERYTHING you are going through right now, and those things that are to come! Perspective is the key! With Love.....Be Blessed 8/3/2018 07:24:13 pm
